Agastache foeniculum
[Anise Hyssop]
Size (ships bareroot) - 3" pot $2.95
Height Light
36 - 48 in. Sun Mid Summer Blue 5 - 9

Native to the northern prairies, this lovely plant is sometimes referred to as Hummingbird Mint. Agastache's aromatic foliage and bottlebrush like flower spikes fill the air with a mint fragrance that is irresistible to both hummers and butterflies - and also deer. Plants are very quick to establish themselves in the garden and the gorgeous flower spikes first begin to appear in early summer and continue through mid to late fall. Plants are clump forming so they don't spread or take over. Clumps should be divided every 3-4

Care: Preference is full or partial sun, and moist to dry conditions. The soil can consist of loam, clay-loam, or contain some rocky material. Occasionally, slugs and insects will feed on the leaves, creating holes otherwise a carefree plant. This member of the Mint family is more resistant to drought than many others.
