Digitalis purpurea
Height Light
30 - 36 in. Partial Sun Early Summer Pink 4 - 9

A mix of colors growing here on the farm - purples, whites, pink, yellows and who knows what else may appear. Forms large rosettes of velvety, green, oblong leaves. Biennial though you won't really notice because it re-seeds readily so there are always flowering plants. Chemical content of digitalis makes it deer resistant.

Care: Foxglove like an acidic soil that is well-drained and rich in humus and thus maintaining a consistent moisture content. This plant will appreciate regular watering particularly during the flowering season - you'll be richly rewarded for your time.
